New Life House Review

I’m giving Greenleaf a five-star rating not for what they are presently, but for what I believe they could be. Speaking from the experience I had as a patient for a week and a half, there are many good people on staff here. However, the doctors they contract need to do less prescribing and more listening. A 5-minute conversation will not suffice to understand somebody enough to give them mind-altering psychotropics/SSRIs, etc. A little more love goes a long way and I hope some much-needed changes are made to help the patients that come here. Have you or a loved one received treatment at Greenleaf Behavioral Health Hospital?

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. We are providing individual counseling appointments through in-person sessions and we are continuing to offer Telehealth therapy if your insurance plan offers it. Telehealth enables our clinicians to provide HIPAA compliant services to our clients over the phone, so you don’t have to come into the office. Your clinician will call you during your scheduled appointment time at your preferred number. A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care.

Alcohol & Drug Counseling

Their behavior will not go unnoticed, and there will be consequences for the pain and suffering they have caused. One aspect of this rehab that I thought was notable was that they have separate units for substance abuse versus mental health. I also think it’s great that they accept walk-ins here so you can get the help you need right away and don’t have to get a referral. The Joint Commission, formerly known as JCAHO, is a nonprofit organization that accredits rehab organizations and programs.

Acadia Healthcare’s behavioral health treatment facilities specialize in helping children, adolescents, adults, and seniors who are suffering from mental health concerns and/or drug and alcohol addiction. Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who’ve just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.
